SUMMARY

Responsible for impatient, outpatient and Emergency Department admissions. Conducts patient interviews, completes admitting forms, assigns inpatient rooms, and discharge patients. Collections of patient copays, coinsurance deductibles and cash pay accounts. Making payment arrangements when necessary. Answers patient inquiries' and helps resolve patents problems and/or issue. May act as hospital receptionist and PBX operator. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

M-F, 8:30am-5pm

Education:

  • High school diploma or Equivalent Preferred.

TRAINING

  • General Business, computer skills, customer service skills. Medical terminology and hospital admitting experience preferred.

Experience:

  • 3 months - 1 Year

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be a team player, be able to get along with others, and be able to accept instructions/suggestions.
  • Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Pay Range: $23.00 - $24.00 hourly **Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
