EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelors Degree in related field preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Purchasing/Materials/Supply Chain.
- Minimum 2 years supervisory or management experience.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid California Driver License
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
- Ability to communicate clearly and with courtesy with all members of the healthcare team, following lines of authority as appropriate.
- Proficiency in the use of computers and telecommunications in documentation, tracking and conveying information.
- Ability to retain composure while working in a fast paced, ever changing environment
- Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
- Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Approve all purchase requisitions in Invoice Processing by acting as the Supply Chain Reviewer for the facility. Supervises assigned staff, assists in managing contractors and vendor relationships; monitors the department operation and capital budgets; assists in selection of personnel and recommends disciplinary action. Accountable for building and maintaining relationships with department heads and administrative leadership. Represents Supply Chain in various committees and meetings. Oversees product conversion efforts. Accountable for meeting Supply Chain measures of success related to spend/inventory/HR/customer satisfaction. With direction and assistance from the Market Director, responsible for continuous improvement of material flow, utilization analysis and supply chain optimization. With direction and assistance from the Market Director, charged to continually develop hospital identified savings prospects and exploit known opportunities. Other duties as assigned.
