Accounts Payable Clerk
Marietta, Georgia TPR/CPM Staff- Serve as the “Go-to” Accounts Payable contact for our vendors and handle inquiries with ease
- Take charge of the Accounts Payable Email Inbox, managing inquiries, and keeping everything organized
- Set-up, enter, and upload invoices into accounting system.
- Process vendor invoices with accurate coding and timely payment processing.
- Maintains accurate records of accounts payable.
- Maintains vendor data in accounting systems for payment.
- Handle accounts payable for multiple entities.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
- Research and resolve any outstanding balances on vendor statements.
- Respond to all vendor inquiries.
- Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Assist with other projects, as needed.
- Promote team cohesiveness by interacting with team members using active listening skills, respect, and constructive daily problem solving with teammates.
Competencies:
- Experience in healthcare accounting is a plus.
- Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role is advantageous.
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- Strong work ethics.
- Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- General math skills.
- Ability to use a computerized accounting system in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Attention to detail.
- Effective organizational, stress, and time management skills.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently or as a team member.
The Accounts Payable Clerk position has a primary purpose of providing financial, administrative, and clerical support by ensuring payments are completed and expenses are controlled by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely, and accurate manner.
Minimum Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Minimum Background Requirements:
At least three years’ previous experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
