- Keeps the Group CEO/Group COO, along with the Zone Leader, apprised of any potential high-risk security concerns.
- Provides strategic system-wide leadership for planning and directing the personnel, financial and operational activities for the Market Security programs.
- Direct and supervise security personnel, monitor quality and quantity of workflow, initiate or recommend personnel actions such as hires, fires, and disciplines, and complete performance appraisals.
- Provides market-wide liaison and coordination with hospital safety and emergency management committees relative to the provision of security services.
- Evaluates assigned staff performance and competency, providing direct feedback.
- Performs duties as assigned.
The Director Market Security maintains 24-hour accountability for operations across the Market. In collaboration with the location Security Managers, directs and supervise security personnel, monitor quality and quantity of workflow, initiate and recommend personnel actions such as hires, fires, disciplines, and complete performance appraisals. Market Security Director will also manage the security function, as a Security Manager, for a location.
- Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement, security management, criminal justice or a discipline requiring high levels of communication and analytical skill
- Experience: 4 years of security management, 2 years in a progressively more responsible leadership role
- Licensure/Certification:
- Licensure/ certification required by the state
- Valid state driver's license
- Must have and maintain certification Crisis Intervention Certification, or must obtain within 6 months of the start of the role and maintain thereafter
- Preferred:
- Education: equivalent combination of education and/or related experience
- Experience: 6 years of combined security management, law enforcement, or military experience
