Saint Francis Physician Network is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing Gastroenterology team. The APP will work collaboratively with their supervising physician to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care for patients with a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Care
    • Conduct comprehensive histories and physical exams for new and established GI patients.
    • Manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions under physician supervision or independently as appropriate.
    • Provide pre- and post-procedure counseling, medication management, and follow-up care.
    • Order, interpret, and act on laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic test results.
    • Educate patients and families about GI diseases, medications, lifestyle modifications, and preventive health.
    • Serve as a resource for nutrition and weight management in collaboration with dietitians.

Qualifications

  • Education & Licensure
    • Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
    • Current licensure as NP or PA in [State].
    • National certification (AANP/ANCC for NPs, NCCPA for PAs).
    • DEA license (or ability to obtain).
  • Experience
    • Prior experience in gastroenterology, hepatology, or surgical specialties preferred.
  • Skills
    • Strong clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Commitment to evidence-based, compassionate, patient-centered care.

Work Environment & Schedule

  • This role requires experience in an independent scope of practice.
  • Shared practice call responsibilities with APP team (if applicable).
  • Full-time schedule, Mondays - Fridays
