Saint Francis Hospital Memphis is a 510-bed acute care hospital dedicated to providing high quality, compassionate care to the Mid-South community. As a comprehensive medical center, Saint Francis Hospital Memphis features a broad spectrum of tertiary and acute care, outpatient services and specialty areas including Women’s Services, Surgical Services, Bariatric Center of Excellence and Behavioral Health. Other acute care areas include Emergency Room, Critical Care, Med/ Surge and Telemetry.

Occupational Therapist PRN Days Position Summary

At the direction of a Registered Occupational Therapist, performs patient treatments as indicated by the treatment plan. Documents treatments given, including frequent and objective measurements. Works with neonatal through geriatric patients with clinical competency. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.

Responsibilities

Performs selected tests and measurements as directed by therapist; maintains documentation on all treatments; assures appropriate equipment performance prior to each use.

Education

Required:  Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant, Active U.S. military service members or veterans with any military service, training or education verified and credited by an accredited OTA program is acceptable

Experience

Preferred:  1 year experience

Certification

Required:  Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant by AOTA Licensure, as required by State law
