Saint Francis Hospital Memphis is a 510-bed acute care hospital dedicated to providing high quality, compassionate care to the Mid-South community. Sterile Processing Manager Full Time Days Position Summary
Responsible for driving corporate and market formulary compliance within the market facilities. Shares responsibility for achieving supply expense and purchased services expense reduction targets. Co-responsible, along with peer department heads and peer administrative leadership, for formulary compliance to established targets. Working with facility leadership, develops action plans for savings and efficiencies, tracks and reports out on product conversion and compliance efforts within the market. Accountable for building and maintaining relationships with peer supply chain, key department heads and administrative leadership teams. Leads and or facilitates key meetings in support of driving formulary value including market or local CiVAT teams. Reports to the CFO of the Market/Group with an indirect reporting relationship to Senior Regional Supply Chain Leadership.
Responsibilities
General Management: Co-responsible for managing and optimizing spend in medical / nonmedical supplies and purchased services in order to ensure facility EBITDA targets are achieved. Identifies and leads efficiency improvements in the facility and market supply chain, purchasing and purchased services. Identify and lead local sourcing initiatives in the absence of a Tenet preferred vendor including for purchased services. Market point of contact for purchased services SLA adherence, operational efficiency identification and improvement and alternative sourcing for purchased services as needed. Acts as Supply Chain Project Management Office for all supply chain preferred contracts and items. Drives organization toward committed contract compliance thru engagement with peer department heads, administrative leadership, value analysis and physicians. Works with GPO/SLL to identify contract tier optimization opportunities for market / facility savings. Fosters an environment designed around customer service and promotes a collaborative culture between Supply Chain and clinical teams. Co-Chairs the Value Analysis Team/Committees. Solicits New Product Requests from end users and oversees the evaluation of requests until fruition. Serves as key and essential member of the organization’s executive team; may require frequent after hours engagement nights and weekends; 24/7 telephone accessibility is an expectation. Demonstrates ability to lead thru period of change – leads initiatives positively. Demonstrates objectivity in decision making and fact based analysis, proficient in gathering data. Demonstrates a cooperative project management style that eliminates boundaries to achieve integrated, efficient and quality results. Collaborates with the evaluators and suppliers to obtain necessary products/services for evaluation as needed. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple product conversions. Develops supply chain initiative tracking plans, monitors and reports out on progress. Work with SLL’s to identify preferred substitutes for non available Tenet preferred items. Work with the clinical team, identify standardization opportunities to reduce SKU’s and standardize patient care practices. Identifies supply utilization and waste reduction savings opportunities and works with Directors of Materials and Clinical teams for alignment and implementation. Work with the Market senior leadership to assist and set supply chain strategies.
Education:
Required: Bachelor’s degree or 8 years applicable Healthcare Supply Chain leadership experience in lieu of degree.
Preferred: Master’s degree with experience in Supply Chain leadership position in an acute healthcare platform.
Experience:
Required: 5 years in supply chain
Certifications:
Preferred: Certified Materials and Resources Professional (CMRP).
