Department: Anesthesiology
Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services/OR Coordinator/Shift Manager/Day to Day lead by Anaesthesia Admininstrator/Designee, the Anesthesia Tech is an OR team member who assists in the preparation and delivery of anesthesia supplies, machines and equipment. Assists Anesthesiologist and licensed personnel in the delivery of patient care.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High School graduate preferred
Completion of Anesthesia Technician Training program, preferred
Minimum Experience/Skills:
Certified Anesthesia Technician preferred, and/or a minimum of two (2) years of recent OR experience in an acute care setting. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, knowledge of basic instruments, and treatment procedures, preferred.
License/Certificates/Credentials:
Current BLS card Anesthesia Technician certification preferred
