Position Summary:
Responsible for the hospital-wide infection prevention and control program (IPC) including surveillance, submission of data and the development and implementation of control measures and presentation of educational programs relevant to infection prevention.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
Minimum Experience/Skills: Three to five years clinical experience in an acute care facility, or two years of experience in Infection Control. Knowledgeable of OSHA, APIC, Title 22, Joint Commission and CDC regulations and guidelines. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Licenses/Certificates/Credentials: Current RN licensure, Infection Control Certification within 2 years and 6 months of hire or transfer into position; must maintain ongoing current certification.
Physical Demands:
- Lift/position up to 25 lbs.
- Push/pull up to 25 lbs of force.
- Frequent sitting Moderate standing, walking, reaching, stooping, and bending, manual dexterity, mobility, touch, auditory to perform all the related duties of the position, adequate vocal pitch and volume.
Vision Requirements: Sufficient perceptive acuity (vision and hearing) to perform all the related duties of the position
Working Conditions: Subject to irregular hours based on the demands of the job, moderate pressure due to multiple calls, inquiries, and time demands, subject to varying and unpredictable situations, occasional exposure to risk of contagious and blood borne diseases, occasional exposure to unpleasant elements

Pay Range: $53.73 - $85.94 hourly **Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
