Qualifications
Minimum Experience/Skills: None
License/Certificates/Credentials:
- California Registered Nursing license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification (1 year grace period for new hires only (not applicable to internal transfers)
- TCAR required within 12 months of hire/transfer.
- For current employees/transfers who have TNCC, TCAR must be obtained by October 1, 2019.
- Must obtain National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) education module within 6 months of hire or transfer into unit and must maintain thereafter.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking
- Lift/position up to 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 50 lbs of force
- Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
- Manual dexterity and mobility
- Ability to move quickly
Vision Requirements: Ability to adjust vision sufficiently to perform position accountabilities
Working Conditions:
- Regularly exposed to the risk of contagious and blood borne diseases

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Nursing Director of the assigned area, the Nursing Assistant performs duties under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN)/Charge Nurse and is responsible for providing high quality individualized basic care activities within the Nursing Assistant scope of practice.
