Position Accountabilities
1. Receives and Sorts Supplies Delivered by Common Carrier. completes all ship out of product and equipment using the best possible method.
a. Ascertains condition for incoming supplies and notes discrepancies or damaged goods.
b. Counts the quantity of incoming packages from UPS, and FedEx, logs quantity received.
c. Separates stock supplies from special order supplies and direct department deliveries.
d. Ensures that all refrigerated items are delivered the same day.
e. Ensures that each package is properly labeled.
f. Includes all necessary paperwork with each package.
g. Ensures that paperwork is given back to correct buyer.
h. Sees that all returns are shipped within two (2) days of product delivery to Warehouse.
2. Filling stock Requisitions/Backorders
a. Ensures that each department receives their stock orders by Friday of each week.
b. Ensures all stock backorders are filled and delivered by Thursday of each week.
c. Makes sure that backorders are delivered to the proper department."
3. Receiving Stock/Non-Stock Supplies
a. All stock/non-stock items are checked in daily per Tenet policy.
b. All products and equipment are verified by visually checking the box to packing slip.
c. All stock is put on the shelves the same day received and paperwork is processed the same time stock is received.
d. Cannot accept over-shipments without consent of Buyer or Purchasing Director. Responsible for shipping and receiving errors.
e. Notifies the buyer when stock is low and/or regarding any problems with incoming stock.
f. Responsible for and ensures all supplies are stored in the proper location.
g. Responsible for and ensures stock is rotated.
h. Responsible for adequate space to maintain adequate stock levels.
i. Responsible for maintaining accurate, detailed and proper shipping record.
j. Responsible for ensuring non-stock supplies are delivered to the departments the same day as delivered by vendors.
k. Non-stock supplies will be delivered daily.
l. All special order products, mail, packages, equipment must be delivery daily.
4. Inventory Control/Organization and Cleanliness of the Distribution and Loading Dock Areas
a. Ensure stock labels are correct.
b. Informs Stock Buyer of stock items that are low or out of stock.
c. Routinely rotates stock to ensure oldest dated supplies are issued first.
d. Responsible to ensure stock is stored in proper location on shelves.
e. Ensures that stock items are not left in aisle ways or anywhere on the floor.
f. Assists with weekly cycle counts from start to finish.
g. Consistently maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner.
h. Responsible for all supplies and equipment being removed from the dock area each day and night.
i. Responsible for disposing of pallets and boxes from shipments daily.
j. Sweeps distribution and dock areas daily.
k. Maintains clean and orderly shelves.
5. Maintaining Equipment
a. Ensures that hospital truck and pallet jacks are in proper working condition.
b. Ensures that all carts and hand trucks are kept in distribution area.
6. Maintaining Capital Equipment Log and Tagging capital Equipment
a. Responsible for receiving Capital Equipment, tagging, processing paperwork and delivering equipment to Biomed and/or the department with two (2) working days of receipt of equipment.
7. Access to Pharmaceutical Supplies and Secure Storage areas- Medication access will be restricted to those medications and supplies that a Central Distribution technician must access in order to perform their assigned duties.
8. Functions as relief Delivery Driver as needed. Pick-up and Delivery Services
a. Pick-up and delivery of charts from Doctors Medical Center, DBHC,VHI, other hospitals (Memorial, EMC, Kaiser Surgery Center, DHM), local Modesto businesses (nursing homes, pharmacies, offsite DMC facilities and doctors offices).
b. Pick-up and delivery of X-rays to doctors offices and hospitals, locally.
c. Pick-up and delivery of lab reports, specimens and supplies to other facilities locally.
d. Pick-up and delivery to various pharmacies and hospitals, locally.
e. Pick-up and delivery of supplies to offsite departments.
f. Pick-up county blood alcohol kits for use at DMC.
g. Pick-up and delivery of equipment at offsite locations as needed
h. Maintenance-keep gas tank filled, keep inside of vehicle clean, wash exterior as needed, report any mechanical or safety issues immediately to the facilities department for follow up.
9. All other duties as assigned

Job Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Purchasing, the Warehouse Worker receives, ships and delivers all stock and non-stock supplies. Fills and delivers all department stock orders. Assists in inventory control and inventory counts, maintains cleanliness of distribution and loading dock areas. Receives and tags all capital equipment. Completes all warehouse duties.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- High School graduate preferred.
Minimum Experience/Skills:
- 1 to 3 years experience in materials/distribution
License/Certificates/Credentials:
- Valid CA Drivers License
