POSITION SUMMARY

To receive and assist patients with inquiries and questions. Answers all questions concerning the patient’s account. Maintains control over incoming patient calls in order to prevent overflow of calls to collection area.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:  High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Minimum Experience: Minimum of 1 year healthcare finance experience

Required Certification: N/A

Required Licensure: N/A

Skills:   Ability to work a large volume of patient phone calls with minimal complaints.  Organization, diplomacy and most of all good communication skills are required.  Must have the ability to work in a decision making position and deal with stressful situations with resourcefulness and initiative. The position demands reasonable intelligence, courtesy, technical skills, professionalism, interpersonal skills and maturity to maintain and promote the prestige and image of the hospital.
