Sr Biomed Engineer PT Days Position Summary

The Senior Biomedical Equipment Specialist (Senior BMET Specialist) demonstrates superior knowledge and expertise in an area of specialty. Areas of specialty are categories of equipment such as MRI, CT, Cath Labs, lasers, anesthesia, respiratory therapy, clinical lab, and sterilization equipment. The individual installs, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates, and verifies performance of all equipment in the specialty area and/or provides technical support to others who work in the specialty. The Senior BMET Specialist is required to be familiar with most classes of clinical equipment and perform repair or troubleshooting on equipment outside the specialty area. The individual serves as an advisor and consultant to medical and clinical staff in the safe use and proper operation of equipment in the specialty. The individual serves as an advisor and consultant to other TriMedx and/or hospital clinical engineering personnel on technical matters concerning equipment in the specialty. The individual demonstrates adherence to the core values of the hospital and TriMedx in all professional interactions by showing respect to all people, creating real value, initiating meaningful change, and exhibiting integrity.

THE SR BIOMED ENGINEER PT DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

Education

Required: Associates degree in biomedical equipment technology or electronics or equivalent military training and experience required. Certification in area of specialty by the International Certification Commission is preferred.

Experience

Required: 4 - 7 years specific related experience.
