Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborates with department managers on implementation and evaluation of best practices.
  2. Adheres to all regulatory agency standards (AHCA, OSHA, TJC, CAP).
  3. Keeps the issue of quality alive among coworkers and staff.
  4. Documents and develops criteria and measurement for all work processes.
  5. Generates/nurtures an environment in the workplace so that people can discuss issues of quality honestly, without fear of retribution.
  6. Meets performance expectations for volume, timeliness, and quality.
  7. Sets priorities and organizes work systematically to maximize efficiency.
  8. Demonstrates ability to gather and analyze information in order to solve problems to ensure quality.
  9. Develops alternative courses of action and alternative solutions.
  10. Seeks methods to improve current facility practices/processes by identifying problems and proposing solutions, as necessary.

Qualifications

LICENSE

  • Florida License, as appropriate. 

CERTIFICATION

  • Current BLS Certification approved by the American Heart Association,

Position Summary

Under the direction of Area Administrator assumes 24 hour responsibility for supervising, planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and controlling activities. Responsible for the efficient operations of the Cardiopulmonary & Rehab Service departments and optimum use of resources to maximize productivity and minimize costs. Interacts closely with the medical staff and other department heads to ensure safe, quality patient care is provided in accordance with corporate, facility and unit standards. Participates on committees and task forces as assigned. Formulates reviews and assists in the revision of policies and procedures. Interacts, coordinates and reviews activities and actions of affiliating schools and volunteers as appropriate.
