Description:
GENERAL SUMMARY
Works collaboratively with the Charge Nurse and or nursing Director. The Inpatient Wound Care Coordinator Communicates and collaborates closely with physicians, and inpatient nurse managers, and other member of the health care team to provide consistent quality care for patients with wounds. He/she supports all inpatient activities to support the Pressure Ulcer Prevention (P.U.P.) And Wound Care Program. Working with a high degree of autonomy, the Wound Care Coordinator accepts responsibility and accountability for assigned patients to implement and evaluate the care for adult and geriatric clients. The RN works within the fame work of the Florida State Nurse Practice Act and follows all hospital policies and procedures. He/she complies with hospital and nursing philosophy and standards while performing job duties and responsibilities and will demonstrate competence in these key areas through the ability to perform function, including, but not limited to, the common examples listed.

Certification in Wound Care and Ostemy Care preferred
