Unit Secretary Med Surg Full Time Days

1. Transcription and Entry Rating
   1. Orders are entered accurately and in a timely manner
   2. All transcriptions are dated, timed & signed with full name
   3. Handwriting is legible
       
2. Communication Skills Rating
   1. Maintains confidentiality standards when dealing with colleagues, visitors, family, etc.
   2. Addresses everyone with appropriate demeanor
   3. Utilizes appropriate chain of command
       
3. Chart Functions Rating
   1. Prepares chart for admission process
   2. Prepares chart for medical records upon discharge
   3. Maintains medical records appropriately
       
4. Call Lights / Phones Rating
   1. Answers call lights promptly & notifies appropriate care giver
   2. Answers telephone promptly, directs call to appropriate person
   3. Utilizes proper telephone etiquette
       
5. Resource Management Rating
   1. Maintains adequate stock of office supplies
   2. Maintains updated phone lists/resource manuals
   3. Considers/contributes to cost containment measures

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE

• Medical Terminology and hospital experience preferred
