Clinical Operations Representative

Staffing:
- Allocates personnel with House Supervisor consultation based on unit need, staffing guidelines, and union contracts.
- Obtains daily staff requests
- Coordinates staffing to meet organization’s requirements
- Monitors overtime accumulation and tracks attendance
- Conducts compliance audits on files of float pool and all contract staff to assure accuracy
- Maintains schedules and schedule accuracy
- Verifies payroll accuracy
- Processes employee vacation requests after they have been approved
- Monitors and maintains information on staff qualifications and areas of expertise
- Problem solves scheduling conflicts
- Schedules orientation of new hires/contract staff
- Maintains tracking of mandatory education
- Maintains daily staffing reports and updates OptiLink
- Assist mortuary personnel and families with information regarding deceased patients
- Other duties as directed by Transfer Center Coordinators, Staffing Office Manager and/or House Supervisors
- Assist in maintaining files
One Call:
- Receive calls for admits and gathers demographic data
- Enter patient demographic information in to computer systems
- Assign hospital service codes, accommodation codes and bed assignments
- Notifies departments of admissions/transfers
- Updates FirstNet and RightBed assignments
- Edits cleaning priorities on RightBed
- Receives and modifies bed assignments (transfers, discharges)
- Updates admitting diagnosis/attending physician changes
- Performing a daily census reconciliation to make sure codes are correct and
- Presence/absence of patients are verified
- Coordinate with EVS to expedite patient admissions/transfer

Job Summary
The Clinical Operations Representative (COR) facilitates the daily allocation of nursing personnel, utilizing general staffing guidelines (as approved by Nursing Directors) and knowledge of personnel’s skill level. The position coordinates additional activities centrally located in the Nursing Office and promotes and maintains a professional image through contact with the public. The COR will also facilitate patient admissions and transfers throughout the facility working in Cerner, PBAR, RightBed and the Hospital ADT system. They will assist in applying the appropriate room accommodation codes, and communicate any problems immediately to the Transfer Center Coordinator or House Supervisor. Access to all Patient Health Information is for treatment purposes only.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Computer experience- ability to work in multiple systems concurrently
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to present self in positive and professional manner
- Prioritization and organizational skills
- Ability to read and understand written English.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Ability to communicate with others via telephone
- Ability to complete detailed work and complex scheduling requirements with minimal errors
- Must be available for both day and night shifts
Preferred:
- 1-3 years working in hospital setting with staffing/Cerner/ADT experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
