Description
Desert Regional Medical Center is a 385 bed acute-care hospital classified as a stroke receiving center and level 2 trauma facility with an innovative , patient centered and evidence-based Rehabilitation Services Department. Our compassionate team provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation, joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics.
Plant Operations Department is a full service department providing utilities on a 24 hour basis. The position is responsible for complying with these regulatory agencies: 1) TJC, 2) OSHPD, 3) SCAQMD, 4) NFPA, 5) Title 22 & 24, 6) NEC, 7) Cal OSHA and 8) UBC 90. No Patient Health Information access required.
This position may be responsible for one or all of the following duties:
•Repairs and maintains all equipment assigned to Plant Operations with the help of work order system. Maintenance and repair of installed equipment.
•Paints, repairs, and maintains all walls and painted surfaces throughout the hospital.
Required:
•Two years experience in general mechanical maintenance.
•Minimum of one year in trade (hospital preferred), involving on-the-job training or apprenticeship including, but not limited to, blue print reading.
If primary duties are as a painter, the following is required:
•Three years painting experience, preferably in a hospital or commercial building setting.
•Experience with drywall installation and repair, crash rail and corner guard installation, and wall covering installation and repair.
•Will be required to furnish basic hand tools. Special hand tools will be furnished by the hospital.
•A Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) will be completed at time of hire and on an annual basis thereafter.
•Current California driver’s license; a copy of the renewed license will need to be submitted upon renewal. Evidence of current car insurance; a copy of the renewed car insurance will be need to submitted upon renewal.

Pay Range: $23.00 - $27.56 **Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
