Responsibilities:

Position Duties:

· Uses skill and Knowledge to actively contribute to the overall planning of the influenza, tuberculosis screening and immunization programs for DRMC employees, volunteers’

· Reports exposure results to the Employee Health Manager/Coordinator

· Maintains adequate record keeping in a secure environment

· Participates in departmental Performance Improvement activities and monitoring as requested

· Performs FIT Testing

· Administers Vaccines to employees, volunteers, and others as necessary

Qualifications

Position Qualifications:

Required:
· California LVN License (maintain current at all times(

· Must have current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Maintain current at all times)

· High School Diploma or GED

· One year experience as an LVN

· Basic Computer Skills including Word, Excel, and web-based applications

· Ability to work in fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.

· Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize work load independently

· Maintain accurate records and documentation

· Computer literate

· Must be a team player, willing to serve on process / quality improvement teams as necessary


Preferred:
· One year prior health care experience as a Fit tester.

· Knowledge of FMLA, Workers Compensation, and CA Disability

Shift: Days

Hours: Mon-Friday 7:00 am -4:00 pm

Desert Regional Medical Center is a 385-bed acute-care hospital classified as a stroke receiving center and level 2 trauma facility with an innovative, patient centered and evidence-based Rehabilitation Services Department. Our compassionate team provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation, joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics.

Department Specific Duties:

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse the Employee Health LVN assists in the completion of the data collection, testing and follow up for Human Resources (HR) for new employees. Additionally, the EH LVN assists for Industrial Injury follow up and documentation.

Pay Range: $53.73 - $85.94 **Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience ***Calculated based on a full time position
