Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Radiologists, the Imaging Technologist shall provide MRI services to the patients. The MRI technologist s primary responsibility is that of an MRI Technologist. The Technologist shall operate imaging equipment, and prepare exam rooms; maintaining equipment and supplies. The technologist shall provide imaging service utilizing MRI Coils and MRI equipment. The MRI Technologist will emphasis the importance of safety and provides education to staff and patient. The Imaging Technologist's performance and behavior shall be both reflective and supportive of the Mission Statement and Core Values of the Hospital. Demographic information limited Patient Health Information as related to job function.

Responsibilities:

  • Shall perform working knowledge of MRI Equipment.
  • Provides Patient and staff education concerning MRI Procedures
  • Demonstrates Proficiency in all MRI Procedures, MRA, Breast, Cardiac, and Ortho.
  • Provides a safe environment for patient care, utilizing all necessary precautions.
  • Provides effective communication with patient and co-workers.
  • Provides call back time for emergent procedures.
  • Knowledge of MRI Principles and Physics.
  • Works closely with Radiologist to expedite healthcare imaging safely.
  • 9 all and any duties requested by Supervisor.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited MRI program.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification required (maintain current at all times). 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with patients, physicians, visitors, and other staff members. 
  • ARRT Registration in Diagnostic Radiography (only required if performing CT)
  • California State licensure (CRT) (only required if performing CT)


Preferred:

MRI ARRT Certified

Pay Range: $44.00 - $68.00 hourly **Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
