Responsibilities:

Department Specific Duties

· May need to drive a company vehicle during business hours.

· Replaces faucets and other related parts on a daily basis.

· Replaces damaged piping to maintain system.

· Performs PM’s to keep systems operational.

· Orders all parts for plumbing system.

· Replace all piping, drains and covers to maintain system.

· Snake out drains and add chemicals to maintain system.

· Keep all tools and related equipment repaired and available.

· Assist outside vendors (Roto Rooter) in their efforts.

· Orders and maintain proper parts inventory.

· Performs daily checks and repairs.

· Orders parts, recommends upgrades to system to increase efficiently.

· Assist outside vendor in repairs,

· Trains Hospital Personnel proper use of equipment.

Qualifications

Position Qualifications:

Required:

· High School Diploma or GED

· 3 years experience at a journeyman level

· Current California driver’s license; a copy of the renewed license will need to be submitted upon renewal.

· Evidence of current car insurance; a copy of the renewed car insurance will be need to submitted upon renewal.

· A Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) will be completed at time of hire and on an annual basis thereafter.


Preferred:

Vocational or trade school training.

Description

Desert Regional Medical Center is a 385-bed acute-care hospital classified as a stroke receiving center and level 2 trauma facility with an innovative, patient centered and evidence-based Rehabilitation Services Department.  Our compassionate team provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation, joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics.

General Duties:

Installs repairs and maintains existing and new equipment that is installed in the hospital facility. No Patient Health Information access required.

Shift: Days

Hours: 7a-3:30p

Schedule: Monday thru Friday

Pay Range: $24.04 - $32.31 hourly **Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
