Job Summary

Job type: Per Diem
GENERAL DUTIES:
Administer radiation treatments to cancer patients.
These services further the vision of Desert Regional Medical Center to create unique environments, where patients, their families, doctors and staff come together to achieve longer and better lives in the fight against cancer.
Responsibilities
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Setting up and treating patients.
Documentation of treatments.
Patient management.
Patient education
Evaluation of patient needs.
Resource consultant in clinical situation.
First level member of management team.
Qualifications
Required:
• Complies with regulatory requirements (i.e. TJC) appropriate for position
• 2-4 year degree in ARRT approved radiation therapy program
• Current Certified Radiologic Technologist License
• Current ARRT (maintain current at all times)
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification required (maintain current at all times).
• Knowledge of record and verify computer programs
• Expertise in all of the various forms of treatment procedure in own department
• Ability to communicate well with patients and co-workers
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in a high pace treatment environment
• Able to convey a sense of calm professionalism to the patient
• Trouble-shooting skills regarding treatment parameters - (problem solving)
