Up to $15,000 Sign-On bonus based on experience
Desert Regional Medical Center is a 385-bed acute-care hospital classified as a stroke receiving center and Level I Trauma Center with an innovative, patient centered and evidence-based Rehabilitation Services Department. Our compassionate team provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation, joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Coordinates all employee health services including wellness initiatives, safety issues, employee accident, investigation/prevention follow-up, etc. Collaborates with workers comp department to return the employee to work with optimal outcomes after an injury. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

General Functions:
- Acts as a resource person/liaison for employee, manager and system on issues regarding occupational/employee health, regulatory agency rules/regulations/ standards, and related issues.
- Utilizes knowledge of occupational/employee health and regulatory rules/regulations/standards in day- to-day practice and decision-making.
- Promotes identification and prevention of disease transmission within the DCN by collaborating with the Infection Control Practitioner regarding infection control practices.
- Commutates/collaborates with infection Control Practitioner regarding surveillance and follow-up of communicable disease and blood/body fluid exposures.
- Communicates with and coordinates the provisions of the employee health services with the CHRO and or designee.
Qualifications
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• Graduate of accredited school or nursing.
• California Registered Nurses License.
• One year in Occupation/Employee Health, public health, infection control or relates area.
• Current BLS issued by American Health Association.
Preferred:
• BSN or MSN
• Three years or more Occupation/Employee Health, public health, infection control or relates area.
• Certifies Occupational Health Nurse (COHN).

Pay Range: $49.22 - $75.62 hourly **Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
