Job Summary
Position Summary
Chart reconciliation, prepping, scanning, records management and other department support.
Responsibilities
- Meets or exceeds hourly departmental productivity standard for preparing, prepping and scanning discharge patient medical records
- Retrieves medical records from Patient Care areas, organizes and processes for document imaging
- Reconciles all patient type records against discharge lists and takes appropriate and timely action to retrieve all discharged patient records
- Assists external and internal customers including hospital departments and physicians as well as their office staff
- Answers the phone and provide customer service in a timely and professional manner
- Assist physicians with chart completion in a timely and professional manner
- Utilizes resources efficiently and effectively
- Maintains safe environment
- Participates in Performance Improvement activities
- Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum Requirements
- Education: High School graduate or equivalent
- Experience: No prior experience required
- Special Skills:
- Must have basic computer skills and knowledge.
- Must have good organizational skills.
- Must be self-motivated to complete work in a timely manner.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
