- Monitors stock inventory levels on a routine basis utilizing accepted methods of stock management (e.g. stock
cards or computer software) - Generates purchase orders and transmits utilizing vendor computer programs.
- Processes drug returns promptly to reduce storage requirements and receive invoice credit.
- Facilitates the acquisition of specialized or emergency pharmaceuticals
- Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned
Job Summary
- Responsible for the purchase, inventory management and general record keeping of pharmaceuticals for the facility where assigned and
administers the procurement, distribution and maintenance of accounts of pharmaceutical purchase orders for the facility. Completes
established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
- Minimum Requirements
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent
- Certifications: Registered Pharmacy Technician license or Pharmacy Technician certification, as required by state law.
- Preferred Requirements
- Experience: Hospital pharmacy operations experience.
