Job Summary

Echo Tech/Vascular Tech Multimodality

***$10,000 Sign-on Bonus (Paid over 2 Years)***

Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to provide Echo and Vascular lab examinations to patients of all ages.

Performs echocardiograms, Dobutamine stress echos, treadmill stress testing, and assists with transesophageal echos.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Performs and monitors echocardiogram (cardiac ultrasound) procedures.

2. Calculates, measures, and documents appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by physicians.

3. Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions while undergoing

4. Under the guidance of the manager of the vascular laboratory, assists in the coordination of all activities performed in the laboratory, including performing vascular imaging studies.

5. Assess the patient’s condition, prepares examination room, maintains equipment and supplies.

6. Maintains necessary patient records and participates in departmental Performance Improvement initiatives.

Qualifications for Internal Candidates

Minimum Education: Associate degree and graduate of accredited CAAHEP or diagnostic medical sonography school, or at least 6 months of documented competency/clinical experience.

Minimum Experience:

Required:1 year of job-related experience in clinical setting.
Preferred:2 years of job-related experience in clinical setting.

Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses:

Required: Registered with the ARDMS, RVT. Certified in the modalities in which employee works. American Heart Association BLS CPR required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.


Preferred: ICVALARDMS RVT certification is required within 1 year of employment.
