Description:
Mammography Tech Full Time Days Summary
- This position exists to provide mammography examinations for young adult through geriatric patients.
- Technologists provide patient care services using diagnostic imaging modalities.
- This includes assessing patient condition, operating imaging equipment, operating Fuji CR equipment, preparing examination rooms, and maintaining equipment, supplies, and medications.
- Technologists are also required to maintain necessary patient records and participate in the department Performance Improvement program.
- Proficiency in PACS.
- The mammography technologist is responsible for maintaining the department mammography program for ACR/MQSA accreditation.
- Technologists also function as instructors for students enrolled in the Radiologic Technology program.
THE MAMMOGRAPHY TECH FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

Minimum Education: Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program with an Associate degree or equivalent.
Minimum Experience: Up to one year experience is required, 1 to 2 years is preferred.
Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: Registered with ARRT in Mammography, or registry-eligible with registration complete within one year of employment. CPR certification required. SCRQSA required.
