Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an approved Cardiovascular Technology program or equivalent education

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years of interventional Cath Lab or 2 years of Electrophysiology experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: NA

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT)

REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): BLS–Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network. ACLS within 6 months upon hire or transfer into position

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs hemodynamic monitoring procedures of a highly specialized nature as well as assists the physician during all procedures. Works with patients from adolescents to geriatrics. In addition trains Cardiovascular Technicians and other Cath Lab personnel. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
