Job SummaryPosition Summary
The Clinical Dietitian II performs the functions of a specialized clinical nutrition service, such as nutrition assessment, nutrition education, nutrient intake analysis and patient screening to provide quality nutrition care to patients and families. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
QualificationsMINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in dietetics or related field of study from an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited program.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Masters or Doctorate Degree in nutrition/dietetics or related healthcare field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years experience post credentialing (may substitute a Master’s or Doctorate degree for the 3-5 years experience).
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current licensure by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Dietitians (or within 90 days from registration if newly licensed). Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics, and Advanced Certification (CNSC, CDE, CSP, CSG, CSSD, or CSR).
