SUMMARY

Collaborates with the leadership of CPE to coordinate the Residency, Extended, Supervisory Student and Summer Intern CPE programs for the Baptist Health System. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited college or university. Graduate academic/professional degree from an accredited theological school. Completion of residency and supervisory education through the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc. (ACPE).

PREFERRED EDUCATION: Master of Divinity or Doctor of Ministry degree from an accredited theological school.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of autonomous supervision at an accredited ACPE Center. Pastoral ministry in a clinical setting, at least two (2) years.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Pastoral ministry in a clinical setting, at least three (3) years. May be required to hold certification as a CPE Supervisor by ACPE if responsible for supervising clinical pastoral education students. Certification as Chaplin or board eligible by National Association of Hospital Chaplaincy.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Certified as an ACPE Supervisor or Associate Supervisor by the Association for the Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc. Certified by the Association of Professional Chaplin or its affiliate cognate group. Ecclesiastical Endorsement by faith group. Ordination from faith group, if appropriate.

PREFERRED CERTIFICAIONS/LICENSURE:Certified as an ACPE Supervisor by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc. Ecclesiastical Endorsement and ordination by faith group.
