Description
This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.
Summary
Under general supervision, performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled duties related to patient’s nutritional care such as: entering dietary data into the computer, maintaining accurate patient profiles, and obtaining patient food preferences. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associates Degree in Dietetic Technician or at least 2 years of college education in Nutrition and Dietetics
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 to 2 years in a Healthcare Food Service setting
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 3 to 5 years in Healthcare Food Service setting and computer experience
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: ANSI Accredited Texas Food Handler or ANSI Accredited Food Manager course or Certified Food Manager from the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District 
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association as a Dietetic Technician, Registered.
