Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for department support staff to include Sterile Processing, Schedulers, Charge Processors, Clerical Staff, EVS staff in Surgical Services, Anesthesia Techs, and Surgical Attendants/PCAs. Accountable for the operational processes in the department. Provides guidance and support to nursing, sterile processing, and anesthesiology in collaboration with nursing leadership. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university in Healthcare Administration, Business or other healthcare related field, or appropriate work related experience
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 years in a management role
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Background in OR and/or supply management
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: NA
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material
Management (IAHCSMM) Certification; Lean Six Sigma Certification; Certified Surgical Technologist
REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life
Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
