The EVS Technician II is responsible for the general cleanliness of the following areas at the Medical Facilities: Administrative areas, ancillary support areas,grounds, patient care areas, rest rooms, terminal clean of isolation rooms and all other areas requiring Environmental Services support. The routine work of this employee, depending upon area of assignment, consists of sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, wiping, surface cleaning all floors, walls, ceilings, sinks, mirrors, showers, commodes, windows, and other glass areas, waiting areas and public hallways. Moving of furniture and other heavy equipment is accomplished as directed. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Education:
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Able to read, write and understand the English language.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: High School Graduate, GED, or 1 years of full time work experience in
environmental services in lieu of education.
Experience:
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Prior cleaning experience.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 1 year of cleaning experience in hospitality or healthcare setting; may substitute
domestic experience
