General Management:
Supports established goals and objectives that support overall strategic plans of the facility/Baptist Health System
Monitors the annual department operating and capital budgets
Supervises daily operations of assigned department/s
Supervises performance of staff
Demonstrates objectivity in decision making, utilizing facts to support decisions
Supports the mission statement, policies and procedures of the Baptist Health System
Participates in eliminating boundaries to achieve integrated, efficient and quality service
Achieves ongoing compliance with all regulatory agencies
Serves as a resource to employees and customers as demonstrated by visibility and knowledge of issues
Demonstrates flexibility in response to change
Anticipates and responds to problems and risks
Communicates effectively with all levels in the organization and with inter/external customers

Full Time Evenings
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Medical Directors and management staff, responsible for the quality and quantity of work performed throughout the clinical laboratory on all patients, from neonates to geriatric patients ensuring patient safety. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree from an approved college or university and be a graduate of an
accredited school of medical technology, or equivalent. Personnel who, prior to 2/28/92, have qualified at the
Medical Technologist level by achieving a satisfactory grade on an HHS examination and also meets the
qualifications. Meets CLIA requirements for General Supervisor.
PREFERRED EDUCATION :
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 4 years as Medical Technologist.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Supervisory experience
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Certified (registered) in accordance with an approved certifying
agency, e.g. ASCP, NCA, AMT or equivalent. Once certified, no annual renewals are required.
