Description

Provides massage services to members and guests. Assists in revising massage schedules. Completes established competencies for the
position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

General Functions:
 Schedules appointments and always on time
 Provides consistent professional massage and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and 
accepted certification practices
 Informs and educates guests about specific wellness concerns
 Demonstrates flexibility with schedule
 Possess knowledge and understanding of all servies offered
 Performs prep work and cleans massage area after each customer
 Restocks supplies
 Responds to customer questions and concerns in a professional and courteous mannder.
 Attends and participates in staff meetings on a regular basis
 Communicates with management regarding any/all issues that require attention 

 Utilizes resources efficiently and effectively
 Maintains safe environment
 Participates in Performance Improvement activities
 

Qualifications

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School graduate or GED equivalent. Graduate of accredited school of Massage 
Therapy
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year related experience as massage therapist. Experience in customer services.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: National/State license required through the National Certification 
Board for therapeutic Massage and Bodworks (NCBTMB) and/or Federation of State Massage Therapy Borads 
(FSMTB)
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life 
Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of 
hire.
