Description:
- Position summary:
- Working under the direction of the CFO, the Throughput Nurse (TN) is responsible for assisting patient throughput and capacity initiatives in the facility. The TN will work primarily with the CFO, Physician Advisor, Case Management, Nursing and other ancillary departments to streamline processes and workflows to ensure successful implementation of facility targets and goals related to throughput. This individual will also partner closely with hospitalist leadership teams to engage and assist with barriers to discharge requiring resolution. This position does not involve direct patient care duties.
- This position will partner closely with all hospitalist groups and private physicians in the hospital for optimal engagement in throughput & eliminating barriers to discharge.
- This position will engage physicians to obtain any throughput barriers and escalate as needed.
Education:
Required: Academic degree in nursing.
Preferred: Bachelor's or master's degree.
Experience:
Required: 2 years nursing experience.
Certifications:
Required: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. AHA BLS.
