PBX Operator Full Time Rotate NCB
Job Details
General Functions:
· Operates multi-position switchboard
· Answers the switchboard and connects without delay
· Gives hospital information over the telephone
· Pages hospital staff members and physicians
· Relays incoming, outgoing, and interoffice telephone calls
· Contacts personnel on their pagers, by phone or Alpha Mate Encoder
· Monitors all Fire and Security Alarms
· Completes all forms required (i.e. Dr. Red, Code Blue)
· Resets alarms (between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.)
· Relieves other operators in PBX for breaks and meals
· Utilizes resources efficiently and effectively
· Maintains safe environment
· Participates in Performance Improvement activities
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent
PREFERRED EDUCATION : N/A
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: N/A
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 6 months or more in telephone operations

Up to $1,000 Sign-On bonus based on experience
POSITION SUMMARY
Answers and connects all incoming and in house calls to the proper departments or extensions for the five Baptist Health System’s hospitals and all other facilities. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
