Description:
This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.
Summary
Responsible for assigned nursing roles in the Cath Lab including Holding and Recovery; gives direct and indirect care as indicated by
patient condition; works with patients from adolescents to geriatrics. Supervises subordinates to ensure patient safety standards are
attained. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Education:
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university
Experience:
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year in critical care, ED or OR
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Cardiac Cath Lab or Special Procedures experience
Certifications:
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR):
Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have
AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
