Summary
The Security Manager plans and directs the personal, financial and operational activities for the security operations within facility. The
Security Manager ensures a safe and secure working environment for all facility employees, patients, visitors and physicians in
accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements. Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in law enforcement, security management, criminal justice or a discipline requiring
high levels of communication and analytical skill, or equivalent combination of education and/or related experience.
Experience:
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Three or more years in a progressively more responsible leadership role.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Prefer experience in a law enforcement, prior security or military role.
Certifications:
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Requires the ability to obtain, and maintain, appropriate state
license/certifications for this position.
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) within 60 days of employment or transfer date into the department;
Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare
Provider BLS within 60 days of hire..
Must maintain a valid state driver’s license.
Is able to meet all associated DPS Company Representative requirements in accordance with the Texas Commission on
Private Security within 60 days of hire.
