The Ultrasound Technologist Senior is under minimum supervision supervises and directs the activities of technologist working and/or rotating through the department including their discipline and performance while in that area. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound or MRI

PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associate’s Degree

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years technical experience. 2 years experience at supervisory level.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years of experience at supervisory level

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent depending on specialty. Possession of current Texas Medical Board (TMB) license (if ARRT Registered in ionizing radiation)

REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life
Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of
hire.
