Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center

Position Summary
his position reports directly to the DCQI. The abstractor/ analyst is responsible for review and abstraction of Core Measure, STS, CCORP, CRUSADE, and CHART data. He/She identifies cases, concurrently and retrospectively reviews records and abstracts required data, daily. He/she is responsible for monthly justification of data and identification of variances for review. Serves as the Sepsis Program Coordinator. He/She is responsible for identifying performance improvement opportunities, tracking, and trending data, reporting data trends to various committees, and facilitating process change(s), as assigned. He/She is responsible for monthly measure sample selection and evaluation of completed abstraction for accuracy, completing OPPE within established timelines, in collaboration with the Medical Staff Services, coordinating and submitting peer review recommendations, performing regulatory compliance audits, provides quality support during regulatory surveys, and other duties as assigned by the DCQI.
Qualifications
Required Training/Education/Experience/Certification:
- CA licensed Registered Nurse with minimum of two years clinical experience in a General Acute Care Hospital.
- High School or Equivalent
Preferred Training/Education/Experience/Certification:
- B.A./B.S.
- CPHQ, minimum of two years experience that demonstrates sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities in data abstraction, Cerner, Microsoft Office Suite, and quality improvement processes. Knowledge of computer file management and computer hardware and adjuncts. Independent in work; does not require direct supervision.
Pay Range: $40.89 - $63.37
Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
