The Mechanic, General Maintenance PRN is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment. This role supports the daily operations of the facility by responding to maintenance requests, completing preventative maintenance tasks, and assisting other trades when needed.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks throughout the facility.
- Respond promptly to maintenance service calls, including hot/cold temperature concerns.
- Replace lighting fixtures, bulbs, and ballasts as needed.
- Complete minor repairs to facility equipment and building components.
- Replace ceiling tiles and perform minor window and roof repairs.
- Conduct daily rounds of the facility to identify and address maintenance or safety concerns.
- Assist other maintenance trades and departments when additional support is required.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while adhering to facility policies and procedures.
Education:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred: Graduate of trade or vocational school in related field
Experience:
Required: 2 years of experience with a contractor or work in another type of trade.
