Job Summary

The Patient Concierge Coordinator at Baylor Scott and White Sunnyvale is responsible for supporting departmental efficiencies while delivering exceptional customer service. This position serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring accurate registration, clear communication, and compliance with hospital policies. The coordinator helps create a welcoming and professional environment while supporting the mission and service standards of Baylor Scott and White Sunnyvale.

Work Environment

This position requires frequent interaction with patients, visitors, and staff. The Patient Concierge Coordinator must maintain professionalism while working in a fast-paced healthcare setting and supporting the patient experience at Baylor Scott and White Sunnyvale.

Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Greet patients, families, and visitors promptly and professionally, demonstrating excellent customer service at Baylor Scott and White Sunnyvale.
  • Perform reception and registration duties, including collecting and accurately entering demographic and insurance information.
  • Verify patient identity and ensure all required documentation is completed correctly.
  • Explain and obtain signatures for required forms, including Consent for Treatment, Conditions of Service, Advance Directives, and other regulatory documents.
  • Answer inbound and outbound calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
  • Operate telephone and communication systems according to hospital procedures.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Prepare and organize patient records and registration materials.
  • Support efficient patient flow and departmental operations through accurate and timely work.
Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in healthcare, patient access, registration, or customer service preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to service excellence.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills required.
