Description

Maintains major electrical equipment and systems. Facilitates repairs, replacement and upgrades to all electrical systems to ensure a safe and functional facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Under general direction, inspects, installs, repairs, and replaces all components of the electrical distribution systems. 
  • Installs new system components, electrical panel boards, switch gear, ATSs, generators, paralleling gear. etc. 
  • Assists Director in planning for expansion/renovation projects and forecasting operating budget and capital needs. 
  • Performs other related tasks to the maintenance, service, repair, testing, inspection and installation of electrical systems and components, maintenance of inventory parts and supplies. 
  • May provide assistance to other maintenance personnel in performing repair and service functions. 
  • At management’s discretion, performs other related duties consistent with minimum level of preparation and training required and department demands/needs.

Qualifications

Education:

Required: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred: Graduate of trade or vocational school in related field

Experience:

Required: 3 years of progressive experience with an electrical contractor or construction company or experience in a commercial or hospital service environment.

Certifications:

Required: Journey electrician license
