Job Summary

Provides environmental cleaning services. Responsible to maintain the facility in a sanitary, neat, attractive and safe condition at all times. Responsible to handle multiple needs and priorities as they arise while still maintaining the highest level of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Sanitizes all surfaces of the facility using a germicidal cleaner, according to manufacturer specifications. Collects infectious and non-infectious waste in all areas in appropriate containers.
• Performs discharge cleaning/detail cleaning of all areas. Performs dust mop and mopping all tile floors.
• Stocks supplies in areas, carts, and supply room. Cleans bathrooms.
• Maintains accurate records including discharges, linen weight, isolation weight, pager sign-out sheets, cart sign-out sheets and Kronos corrections.
• Performs high dusting of ceiling vents and ledges over shoulder height.
• Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Special Skills: Ability to read, to follow oral and/or written instructions in English. Ability to prioritize work. Must have good customer service skills.
• Minimum Requirements 
  • Education: Ability to read, to follow oral and/or written instructions in English.
• Preferred Requirements
  • Education: High school or equivalent. 
  • Experience: Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
