EVS Lead Associate FT Days Position Summary:
Shift working Lead. Mentors and trains housekeepers. Coordinates efforts of the housekeepers as directed by the EVS supervisor. Provides hospital environmental cleaning services. Responsible for maintaining the hospital in a sanitary, attractive, safe and orderly condition by organizing, delegating and arranges staff assignments as needed or directed by EVS supervisor or director.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Routinely performs sanitation and environmental cleaning services and may include oversight for all sanitation, cleaning, inspection, and evaluation of the physical condition of the facility.
Carries the EVS response phone when the supervisor is not on shift and makes sure the work flow is being adequately distributed.
Responsible for assisting in the training, mentoring and development of environmental services housekeeping staff. Provides performance feedback to management, assesses and improves the performance of the department.
Evaluates facility conditions and needs and delegates appropriate assignments.
Keeps accurate records regarding project completion, etc.
Oversees assigned set-ups.
Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned.
THE EVS LEAD ASSOCIATE FT DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
EDUCATION
Required: Ability to read, to follow oral and/or written instructions in English.
Preferred: High school or equivalent.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required: Two years in environmental services in a hospital setting, or a minimum of four years in another environmental services setting, I.E. school, medical office, long term care facility, etc.
Special Skills: Ability to read, to follow oral and/or written instructions in English. Must be able to prioritize projects and handle changing needs of the facility. Must have good customer service skills. Must have good knowledge of all Environmental Services functions.
Supervises: Shift EVS Staff.
