About the Hospital
Designated as a Level 1 Trauma Center, Carondelet St. Joseph’s Hospital is a 486-bed premier medical campus. We provide high-quality, specialized care in programs such as trauma and emergency medicine, cardiology, orthopedics, neurology, and women’s services.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on the HVAC equipment (i.e. Air Conditioning Units, Air Handlers, VFDs, Refrigerator, Ice Machines, and all other elements of our HVAC systems)
- Maintain Pressure relationships throughout the Facility.
- Maintain inventory of refrigerants and comply with all EPA regulations on the safe handling and disposal of refrigerants.
Requirements
- Must have the ability to work independently with limited guidance
- Must have excellent communication, organizing, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Must be self-motivated and a self-starter
- Knowledge of building controls
- Ability to read blueprints
Qualifications:
Licensure/Certifications:
- Air Conditioning and Refrigeration License
Education: High School or equivalent diploma or equivalent required
***Preferred: Graduate of a trade or vocational school in related field
Experience: A minimum of 3-years progressive experience as a HVAC Tech in hospital service environment
