Job Summary

$1000 sign on bonus for new hires!

A non-exempt medical office position responsible for providing direct nursing care in a medical office setting under the direction of a physician, assists medical providers, and maintains a clean and safe environment in accordance with the policies and procedures of the practice. Position will also assist in ensuring optimal efficiency in clinical process.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to Tenet Physician Resources' mission, philosophy, policies, and Corporate Compliance Program. 
  • Complies with the HIPAA Compliance Plan, Privacy Standards, and personal protective equipment requirements. 
  • Monitors patient flow, performs phone triage, and adjusts assignments to maintain efficiency. 
  • Manages inventory of clinical supplies, vaccine logs, and medical equipment maintenance. 
  • Trains employees on office processes, systems, and new clinic procedures. 
  • Assesses patient needs by taking vitals, history, and physical/mental status. 
  • Completes all required medical record documentation in accordance with charting policies. 
  • Prepares equipment and assists physicians with medical treatments, exams, and procedures. 
  • Administers medications and injections, and performs venipunctures and CLIA-Waived lab testing. 
  • Manages patient appointments, insurance pre-certifications, referrals, and front office support. 

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma/GED required with completion of Medical Assisting Program or 2 years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program. 

Certification: CPR certification 

Experience: Must have a minimum of five years of clinical experience working in a physician office
