Manager Chaplaincy FT Days Position Summary

Participates in forming a community of concern for families, patients, and staff. Provides compassionate pastoral ministry. Consults with the healthcare team, listens to hospital and community environment to address priorities.

Responsible for ministry to the spiritual, emotional, and relational health needs of patients. Compensates established competencies. Manages staff and program to ensure that it meets all needs of the hospital including age, race, gender, ethnicity, or religious preference.

THE MANAGER CHAPLAINCY FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

Education:

Required: Graduate degree in Theology

Experience:

Required: 2 years as hospital chaplain and prior management experience

Certifications:

Required: Certification as Chaplain or board eligible by National Association of Hospital chaplaincy.
May be required to hold certification as a CPE Supervisor by ACPE if responsible for supervising clinical pastoral education students.
