Pharmacy Tech Supervisor Full Time Days Position Summary
The individual in this position will supervise all Pharmacy technician staff, under the supervision of the licensed pharmacist. Oversee Pharmacy technician preparation, packaging, delivering, and charging of medication orders ensure efficient technician workflow and optimal automation operations. Maintain adequate medication stock levels and proper storage of medications. Interview, hire, train and evaluate Pharmacy technicians.
Responsibilities
The individual’s responsibilities include the following activities: a) accurately prepares, packages, and labels medications, b) ensure timely delivery of medications and assures adherence to delivery schedule, c) serve as automation technician supervisor including ADCs, packagers, barcode printers, and scanners, e) ensure completion of all assignments and delegate appropriately, f) assure completion of department charge reconciliation processes and notify Supervisor of any variances, g) ensure adequate supplies of medications, k) ensure compliance with quality assurance logs with proper documentation
THE PHARMACY TECH SUPERVISOR FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
Education:
Required: High school graduate or equivalent
Preferred: Bachelor's degree
Experience:
Required: 3 years hospital experience
Certifications:
Required: Registered Pharmacy Technician license. Pharmacy Technician certification (both based on state requirements)
